Haath Heart: Exhibition will be held from Feb 25th till March 3rs at Amethyst Cafe,Chennai.

Amethyst presents a one of a kind exhibition called ‘Haath Heart’ featuring Sind by Ryoko Haraguchi and Sunita Shanker’s latest collection, 'Water Colour Series' that highlights the coming together of Japanese and Indian sensibilities in the world of textiles. The designers have been working together and have found a thread that connects their countries and their textiles. Japanese designer Ryoko Haraguchi's label 'Sind', showcasing tunics, one piece dresses, jackets, coats, trousers, shawls and sarees. Japanese techniques, such as persimmon tannin over-dye are featured in Ryoko's collection, using fine Indian silks and Itajime dyeing processes. Sunita Shanker's SS16 compilation emphasises on garments to be worn over tunics, t-shirts or dresses, teamed with pin tuck trousers, and a bandhini scarf to complete the look, the colour palette is restricted to black, white and red with a few splashes of blue.

The shawls are priced at Rs.4,000 onwards and garments at Rs.14,000 onwards.
