From Jan to May, dolphin sightseeing tours are conducted off Goa's beaches and crocodile-spotting trips in the backwaters.

Dolphin Cruise leaves from Dona Paula, cruises into the Arabian Sea up to Grande Island.

The activities involve dolphin-spotting, snorkeling and barbecue on the island. Departure will be at 9 a.m. and duration will be about 7 hours. There are many operators providing a rare sight of crocodiles sunning themselves on the muddy banks of the Cumbarjua Canal before slithering back into the water.

The Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphin is a member of the genus Sousa. These dolphins are characterized by the conspicuous humps and elongated dorsal fins found on the back of adult members of the species. They are found close to shore along the coast of West Africa (Atlantic species/variety) and right along the coast of the Indian Ocean (including Seas of Goa) from South Africa to Australia (Indo-Pacific species/varieties).
