Selfie-on-ramp challenge will be held from June 21-26 at Chennai.
Universal design (UD) or often called inclusive design refers to using ideas meant to produce buildings, products and environments that are inherently accessible to older people, people without disabilities, and people with disability. UD reduces stigma and provides benefits for all users. One of the crucial parts of UD is inclusion of ramps to ensure accessibility for wheelchair users.
Whenever you see steps and ramp, opt for the ramp. That means you are promoting universal design! It is access for all.
We decided to spice things up a bit. We're introducing our first ever #ConnectSpecialPhotoChallenge ! We want you, yes YOU, to post selfies taken on ramps (along with some details on location) in and around Chennai, using hashtags – #ConnectSpecialPhotoChallenge and #selfieonrampchallenge on your own facebook timeline and we'll feature your pictures on our page all through this period. Moreover, to make it more rewarding, 3 top inclusion champions who cover highest number of ramps in this period stands to win a special recognition in our magazine and newsletter!
