VVS Laxman is the mentor of the team while Muttiah Muralitharan is the bowling coach and also a mentor of the team.

The Kolkata Knight Riders are a franchise cricket team representing Kolkata in the Indian Premier League. The franchise is owned by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan in partnership with actress Juhi Chawla and her spouse Jay Mehta.
