Maharanis: Women of Royal India' is a collection of over 100 photographs of the stunning world of erstwhile royalty.

The 'Maharanis: Women Of Royal India' exhibition showcased an assemblage of photographs over a span of 50 years in the 19th century.Its a collection of portraits that will be exhibited on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Tasveer.This exhibition will focus of the blue-blooded women of India who fought purdah to come out into society. The queens, princesses and other royal women made classy subjects for photographers. So come and watch the royal women of India decked in all their finery for the celluloid.
Tales of Princely India have previously revolved mostly around the figure of the Maharaja, leaving shrouded in mystery the lives of the women of the royal household. Tasveer’s new exhibition and book Maharanis: Women of Royal India takes you behind the veil, through the lens of photography, offering a peek at the enigmatic women of royal India, and their roles in history in the public and private spheres.
