Alliance Francaise, Trivandrum, is conducting a series of activities as part of it’s Bonjour Kerala programme from Feb 8th till March 20th.
Alliance Francaise is organising a number of art, exhibitions, music shows, literary events and movie screening on it's premises and at Vyloppilli Samskruthi Bhavan.The centre will also conduct basic and crash courses in French for children, teenagers and adults.
The events, which started off in January, will continue till March. The centre will be organising a number of art exhibitions, music shows, literary events and movie screenings on it’s premises and at Vyloppilli Samskruthi Bhavan.
The centre is hosting a painting exhibition titled ‘Hues of Revival’ by Sheeba Manghat from Tuesday. The exhibition, which will be on till February 26, will be inaugurated by Dr G Madhavan Nair, former secretary to Government of India and Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation. A talk on ‘Focus: Sustainable Living’ will take place on its premises. The session will have among others the environmental-friendly builder from Senegal, West Africa, ‘Atelier Koe’ present their approach to conceiving, designing and constructing ‘earth’ buildings.
Through the event, Atelier Koe hopes to bring the merits of constructing buildings with mud back into architectural dialogue. Programmes by the centre also includes a ‘Jam Time’ for aspiring singers and musicians. The jamming session, which will be held to provide a platform for musical interaction and improvisations, will be held at Alliance Francaise on February 20. The events for the month will come to an end with the screening of the 2013 French movie ‘Eastern Boys’ by Robin Campillo.
Apart from these activities, the centre will also be conducting basic and crash courses in French for children, teenagers and adults. Evening classes, weekend and extensive courses will also be included.
